Underwater photography has stunned a lot of people, even non-divers. The current underwater photography trend is the so called Macro Photography. It’s a photography technique that makes small objects look larger than their life size. This technique enables divers to reveal sea creatures’ shapes and stunning colors in detail. So before you dive, make sure to ask your guide to show you where to take macro subjects.

Clown Fish: One of the most famous and most photogenic sea animals. Shooting this animal will be best if you can find it in the middle of its Anemone. By now you must have known that these tentacles sting, so be careful. As this fish keeps moving around, you will have to face trial and error for some period of time. Well practice makes perfect.

Ghost Pipefish: Being one of the most difficult to photograph, this fish I also hard to find. You need patience in order to find it and capture their amazing details. You will understand why the challenge is so rewarding after you manage to take its pictures.

Frogfish: The king of camouflage, lie and wait predator, and one of the best subjectS when it comes to macro photography. Another challenge for you is to grab the camouflage pattern of this fish. Our suggestion is to add strobes or lights to your camera.

Banded Coral Shrimp: This one helpful coral shrimp will be easily found at night, hiding in the crannies and nooks of coral. These creatures are not only beautiful to capture, but also are helping marine life free from parasites and stay clean.

Nudibranch: This fish is also underwater macro photographer’s favorite, as this fish can come in different shapes, sizes and even colors.
