Want to change your life 2025? You’ll need to step out of your comfort zone. When it comes to diving, this can mean many things.
- Breathing underwater in full SCUBA for the first time. This is uncomfortable to begin with because you’re unfamiliar with the underwater world and your gear. Doing your first DSD or Open Water Course Certification is a great way to step out of your comfort zone and experience something new, challenge yourself and finally say “I DID THAT!”
- Taking a specialty (like drift diving). If you’re already certified you might have enjoyed some beautiful dives locally or on dive trips around the world. But what about some more advanced dive sites, and unlocking even more underwater wonderlands to explore in your future? Drifting can be scary when you’re not sure what you’re doing (and when the currents are fast!) but rest assured our team is HIGHLY experienced with drifting, after all – Nusa Lembongan is notorious for fast currents, but they make the dive sites all the more fun!
- Complete lifestyle overhaul: learning your Divemaster or IDC (going pro in your scuba diving journey) is the ultimate comfort zone killer initially. But the skills you learn open up so many doors – ones you might not even think of yet. From public speaking, to understanding different types of peoples psychology, to teaching new divers and finding a job in the dive industry. No matter what your goals are in life, the IDC and Divemaster course will give you skills, tools and a global support network you always wanted.
If you’re not sure what to try, take a look at all those activities you once said “I am a bit scared of trying that” because the accomplishment you’ll feel afterwards is next level – and once you’ve successfully completed it, just watch.
Your comfort zone will expand to include those things that were uncomfortable to begin with, and your quality life will improve expanding your comfort zone even further.
Here’s to 2025 – we hope to see you underwater this year!
